Mission

ABOUT LEGACY SCHOOL

At Legacy School we aim to produce a generation of well-rounded, analytical and independent thinkers who excel academically but also have a strong basis to succeed in their professional life on whatever path they choose to follow. We want to create a legacy of educational and moral values for the next generation of young Sudanese. We incorporate interactive teaching methods especially in our younger classes to bring the joy back into learning.

Our older students will benefit from the wealth of experience we have on our advisory board to help them academically, with extra-curricular activities and in choosing their future careers.

Our graduates are fluent in both English and Arabic and sit the IGCSE exams in Year 11.

At Legacy we provide an educational standard comparable to the UK while maintaining our national identity. We will teach our children about the country they live in so that they know they are Sudanese and can be proud. Students learn about Sudanese culture, geography and events through role plays, drama and music.

For our early years, we focus on literacy in Arabic and English so our pupils read and write fluently in both. Children do charity work through regular projects from an early age so they understand how privileged they are and how to help others.

Legacy has a mission - to reintroduce books into Sudanese houses and get our children reading again. From Nursery the children will take a library book home. From Pre-Reception class onwards the children choose their own library books in library lessons from our wide selection.

We teach them to respect and take care of the books and expect parents to do the same at home. We teach using stories and aim to create a generation of children who love to read. We want them off screens and back to books and play.
